How long does car paint protection film last?
XPEL paint protection film can last from five to ten years or longer, depending on how well it is maintained, and it is backed by XPEL’s 10-year warranty. It can be removed and replaced at any time.
What does XPEL paint protection film do?
It adds a transparent but durable layer over the paint that shields the car from damage caused by stone chips, bug splatter, bird droppings, road tar and the weather.
Does XPEL paint protection film stop stone chips?
Yes. XPEL PPF is designed to absorb impacts from road debris and reduce damage from stone chips, road rash and motorway driving. It acts as a barrier between your paintwork and the road.
What is self-healing paint protection film?
Self-healing film uses elastomeric polymers that let light scratches and swirl marks disappear when exposed to heat or sunlight, so the car keeps looking freshly detailed for longer.
Does PPF protect against scratches and dents?
PPF protects against light scratches, swirl marks, road debris and surface scuffs. It will not stop a dent from a hard impact or a car park knock, and it will not prevent major accident damage.
Is it worth getting paint protection film?
For most owners, yes. It is a significant upfront cost, but cheaper than repainting, regular polishing or periodic paint correction, and it keeps the original paint in as-new condition, which matters when you sell.
